Smart Cities Council (SCC) and AIM Congress have announced a five-year partnership, aimed at transforming smart city development and global investment. This collaboration will advance a Future Cities program designed to accelerate global smart city initiatives by fostering innovation, promoting sustainable economic growth, and enabling knowledge exchange among industry leaders.
The partnership commences with AIM Congress 2025, taking place from April 7–9 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Holger Schlechter, Smart Cities Council Regional Lead for Smart Cities Council - Middle East and International Free Zone Authority | IFZA CFO was invited to the launch event in Abu Dhabi, featuring a keynote address by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and president of AIM, an official signing ceremony with key partner announcements.
As a knowledge partner, SCC will contribute to event programming, advocate for sustainable urban development, and facilitate connections among global smart city stakeholders. This partnership also aims to enhance the sharing of innovative projects and best practices among SCC members worldwide, enriching the ecosystem for smart city advancements.
AIM Congress 2025 is poised to be a landmark event, attracting over 25,000 participants from 180 countries, with more than 1,000 speakers, 350+ panel discussions, and 30,000+ square meters of exhibition space. Officially endorsed by UAE ministries, including the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Ministry of Economy, and Ministry of Investment, the event sets the stage for global collaboration and innovation.
