People and Place provides the opportunity to find commonality
A hugely successful and influential Smart Cities Summit wrapped up in San Francisco on May 8th.
The Summit demonstrated that leading with People and Place provides the opportunity to find commonality. Republicans and Democrats, representatives from the Middle East, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Poland, the US and the Ukraine, shared projects and goals for mutual benefit. In all, delegates from 18 countries, including every continent (but Antarctica) participated. It truly represented the pivot towards geoeconomics, from geopolitics.
Sponsored by International Free Zone Authority (IFZA), and partnered by Chartered Cities Institute, Deep Tech Week, Leading Cities and Smart Cities Americas, the Smart Cities Council demonstrated the power of an independent organization to lead where governments and business fear to tread.
We sincerely thank over 150 speakers who shared nearly 100 sessions over a two day period, as well as the VIPs and delegates who's openness made the event what it was.
